hello my
favorite type of music is:
rock
It is a
broad term that brings together a variety of musical genres. Its original form,
known as rock and roll, came mainly from the combination of two previous genres
were rhythm and blues and country. Rock music also drew heavily from blues and
folk, and incorporated influences from jazz, classical music and other sources.
Musically, rock has focused on electric guitar, usually
as part of a rock band with singer, bass, drums and sometimes keyboard
instruments such as the organ and piano. Typically, rock is a focus on the
songs, usually with 4/4 and using a verse-chorus structure, but the genre has
become extremely diverse and common musical features music are difficult to
define. As pop music, the lyrics often focus on romantic love, but also treat a
wide range of other issues with a common focus on the social and the political.
The dominance of rock by male musicians has been seen as one of the main
factors that define the themes explored in rock music.rock puts more emphasis
on composition, live performance, and authenticity than pop music.
Rock music
also included and served as a vehicle for cultural and social movements,
leading to the creation of important subcultures including mods and rockers in
the UK, and the hippie counterculture that spread in San Francisco (United
States) in the 1960 Similarly, the punk culture of the 1970s originated the
visually distinctive Gothic and Emo subcultures. Heir to the folk tradition of
protest song, rock music has been associated with political activism and changes
in social attitudes about racism, sex and drug use, and is usually seen as an
expression of the youthful rebellion against consumerism and conformism.

My favorite
type of music
Hello
teacher and partner: I want to share you
my favorite type of music. First of all I need to tell you, I love instrumental
music, jazz, romantic and even, some music of Michael Jackson. But perhaps the Vallenato would be the music
which I identify because I born in Valledupar. That region is very rich in
vallenatos composer and important singers who still sing to their women and
their nature.
The
Vallenato is a native rhythm of the
Colombian Caribbean Cost. It is original
from Magdalena river to the Guajira, a zone called: “The provincia”. The first man who carried an accordion, was
“Francisco El hombre” who traveled by donkey singing news to the villagers. The
leyend, tell us there was a night when
Francisco El Hombre” sang in front of the devil. He win the battle, because he sang the "our father"
backward.
The most
popular compositors have been created by themselves because they have continued
the familiar tradition. Some examples are:
The
brothers Zuleta Diaz, Diomedez Diaz, Gustavo Gutierrez, Roberto Calderón, Jorge
Oñate, Marciano Martínez and other more.
But the
best representantive composer was Rafael Escalona, who was able to write
beautiful songs full of feelings.
Each year, since Abril 27 to 30, in Valledupar
is made “The vallenato festival” where there is a competition with many interpreters of the accordion to win the
reward as "King Vallenato. There,
we can listen the better accordionist. It is nice to see a children trying to
extrac musical notes of their instrument and it is amazing to enjoy in deep
that event.
The
Vallenato was recognized by the Unesco “Cultural and intangible heritage of
humanity” that prize mean a lot for our culture. The contribution of the vallenato is
important because its melodies have been built since the reality and village's
everydayness.
Finally I
want to tell you, in Valledupar is usual to do "parrandas
vallenatas". That's means families meet with singer and accordinista
who have been guest for them. Around of
they, people are having fun for some hours, they only can clap and sing, never
the couples can dance in a "parranda vallenata" but when people go to
the party, of course they dance tie with their partner.

During the

Its spread in those years, was limited to some few stations as it was
considered a little less vulgar music. The massive interest rate arose from the

that it is usually played by bands, known in all parts of Colombia as Papayeras
or also as the "Chupacobres".
A little
its history:
Formerly it
was loose dance, which it has evolved into the ballroom dance, cheek-to-cheek.
In it doesn’t exists choreography defined, with circular repetitive movements
of the men harrass to the women, in accordance with the opportunities that each
couple find.
It was
orchestrated and converted into popular rhythm on the North Coast and the
interior of the country, specially in Medellin, where people from the slums
gave it an own style, with body movements that are highly influenced by the
Antillean rhythms of the time.
The
best-known songs from this genre can be:

RE: MY FAVORITE MUSIC GENRE
R&B
R&B is
the abbreviation of Rhythm & Blues and this is more than a Genre Musical,
it is a musical culture, live primarily derived from the Jazz, Gospel and
Blues, which sometimes has little touches that show their origin.
Rhythm and
Blues is the name given to a wide-ranging genre of popular music created by
African Americans in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The term was originally
used by record companies to refer to recordings marketed predominantly to African
Americans, at a time when "urbane, rocking, jazz based music with a heavy,
insistent beat" was becoming more popular.
The term
has subsequently had a number of shifts in meaning. Starting in the 1960s,
after this style of music contributed to the development of "rock and
roll", the term "R&B" became used - particularly by white
groups — to refer to music styles that developed from and incorporated electric
blues, as well as gospel and soul music. By the 1970s, the term "rhythm
and blues" was being used as a blanket term to describe soul and funk.
Since the 1990s, the term "Contemporary R&B" is now mainly used
to refer to a modern version of soul and funk-influenced pop music...
Now we hear
Neo-Soul, Quiet Storm... a series of sub-genres of R&B of course denote the
great evolution that had in its history.
To show you
examples I can recommend to many artists of R&B but I would recommend to:
Whitney Houston, Mario Barret, Mary J Blige, Joe Thomas, Ne-Yo, Beyoncé... The
R&B is culture, history, talent and musical evolution.
